Designing Inclusive Events (2.0)
We brought meetup and event organisers from the grassroots tech community together to share knowledge on how to design inclusive events.
The ABC’s of LGBT
“Inclusion through education” specialist Shoutout led a workshop to enhance our understanding of LGBTQ+ experiences and understand how small things can make a big difference for LGBTQ+ members.
The Invisible Talent Pipeline in Tech: Hiring People with Autism
A hands-on workshop helping employers understand how to hire and retain people with autism. The workshops were be punctuated by short talks to share information on the benefits and practicalities of hiring adults with autism.
Allyship in Tech – Unlocking the Power of Diversity
An intimate, carefully curated evening event where leaders and change agents will engage in dialogue based workshops focusing on the practicalities of becoming an effective “Ally” to accelerate a culture of inclusion in their workplace.
Community Lunch & Learn “#IAmRemarkable”
An interactive workshop (run by facilitators trained by Google) aimed at empowering women and underrepresented groups by highlighting the importance of self-promotion in their careers and providing them with the tools to start developing this skill.
2018
First Fridays For Startups
Collaborating with our programs team we targeted startup founders and focused on how to build a diverse and inclusive culture which is crucial for startups to scale successfully.
Returnship Programme Driving Inclusion
We hosted Mastercard Ireland’s Women’s Leadership Network to discuss the realities of taking a break and returning to work after parental leave.
Diversity 101 for Community Leaders
We hosted grassroots tech meetup organisers
to discuss inclusivity in organising meetup events, and cultivated an Inclusive Events toolkit to take away to their meetup community.
Community Lunch & Learn: Fostering an Inclusive Startup Hub
We hosted a lunch and learn for our own hub to discuss the importance of D&I in tech and update them as to what we are doing and how they can get involved.
Allyship In Tech: Empowering An Inclusive Culture
‘Allyship in Tech’ was delivered to mark International Women’s Day on the evening of March 8. It was designed to encourage tech influencers to take ownership as the change makers and leader, and to actively participate in the diversification of the Irish ecosystem
